The New Generation Metal&MagnetSpy Diamond-PPC is designed to be a cost effective solution to secure your store against theft.
It is a revolutionary new system designed for complete protection from professional shoplifting. The integration of three separate technologies enables the system to detect moving metal objects for aluminum foil-lined “booster bags“ theft prevention, magnet detection for prevention of unauthorized tag removal with magnetic detachers and detection of AM jammers.
NG Metal&MagnetSpy antennas are placed next to an existing EAS system installation.
The system will trigger an alarm when a booster bag or a magnetic detacher is carried into the store, or when an AM jammer is detected near the EAS system.
Metal&MagnetSpy incorporates advanced protection from sliding doors, shopping trolleys, and other sources of interference making it a good choice for any store with advanced theft problems. The system is compatible with RF and AM technology and can be installed as a standalone system next to any type of EAS system.
Unlike the EAS system, the New Generation Metal&MagnetSpy will trigger an alarm when a suspicious person enters the store, allowing the shop personnel to take action and prevent theft which usually occurs on a large scale. The system can be connected to any type of alarm circuit.
What is a Booster Bag?
A booster bag is a hand-made item such as any kind of shopping bag, handbag, backpack or other inconspicuous container which is lined with special material (usually aluminum foil) from the inside. It is used for shoplifting from retail stores, libraries or any other stores where EAS security systems are installed. In many countries booster bags are considered a burglary tool and possession of them can lead to felony charges.
What is a Magnetic Detacher?
A magnetic detacher is used to remove re-usable hard tags. The type of detacher used will depend on the type of tag. There is a variety of detachers available with the majority using powerful magnets. It has become a popular tool for professional shoplifters, who use the detachers to remove the security tags from merchandise in large quantities.
