Yes! Even though mirrors work best during the day with ample sunlight, traffic and outdoor mirrors are useful at night for avoiding collisions at dark intersections since they reflect incoming cars´ headlights. However, since mirrors work by reflecting a source of light, the oncoming vehicle must have its headlights on or be in close proximity to street illumination in order for it to be visible in the mirror.
