Basically, you can place it anywhere you want. The most important thing is that a safe should be bolted to a concrete floor or wall (or a brick wall) to secure your valuables. It is therefore crucial to take the thickness of the wall and floor you want to connect your safe to into consideration.
The exact place depends on your individual preference as well as the intended use of the safe. Safes can fit well into your living room or bedroom and can also function as a feature. However, consider that it is then easily visible and not hidden.
If you store highly valuable goods and do not want the safe to be visible, we recommend storing it in a more secure, hidden location (also bolted!).
Examples for this are: in your basement; in a separate, not easily accessible room; or inside a closet.
When positioning the safe, take the door and its respective angle/opening side into account (normally the hinges are on the right side). Take height and weight into consideration, as they both affect the storage possibility of your safe. The bigger and heavier the safe, the harder it is to hide.
