Grade 2 vault doors provide EN 1143-1 certified security for commercial strong rooms, retail back-office vaults, and commercial premises requiring a higher level of certified protection than Grade 1 can provide. At Grade 2, the vault door is independently verified to withstand a more sustained and determined attack than Grade 1 — meeting the requirements of commercial insurers for premises with elevated cash holdings, valuable stock, or sensitive assets stored in a dedicated vault room.

Grade 2 vault doors feature substantial multi-point steel bolt locking across the full door frame perimeter, reinforced anti-drill and anti-cut protection across the door face and lock area, active re-locking mechanisms triggered by attack, and a precision electronic or key lock certified to the Grade 2 specification. The door leaf and frame construction is heavier and more robust than Grade 1, reflecting the higher attack resistance required by the grade specification.
